Bilimsel bilgi, fikir ve buluşları toplumun her kesiminin anlayacağı biçime dönüştürme çabasında olan bilim merkezlerine fen bilimleri dersinde yapılan gezinin öğrencilerce nasıl algılandığı bu çalışmanın amacıdırr. 8. sınıftaki 28 öğrenci fen bilimleri öğretmenlerince Kayseri Bilim Merkezine götürülmüştür. Geziden bir ay sonra soru formu doldurmaları öğrencilerden istenmiştir. Araştırma verileri betimsel analiz yöntemiyle analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucuna öğrenciler bilim merkezinin deneylerin yapıldığı, bilimsel bilgiyle dolu bir yer olarak düşünmektedir. Fırtına odası ve gök evi dikkat çeken düzeneklerdir. Öğrencilerin çoğunluğu fen ve matematik derslerinin bilim merkezlerinde işlenebileceğini düşünmektedir. Gezinin öğrencilerin sorumluluk alma, dayanışma becerilerini geliştirdiği ve öğrencileri mutlu ettiği gözlemlenmiştir. Gezi öğrencilerin genel kültürlerini artırmış, yeni şeyler görmelerini ve kendilerini ifade edebilme becerilerini geliştirmiştir. Aynı zamanda öğrenme ile ilişkili olarak konuları kavramalarını, pekiştirmelerini ve eğlenerek öğrenmelerini sağlamıştır. Öğrenciler geziyi güzel ve etkili bulmuştur. Diğer öğrenciler gezinin daha sık ve kapsamlı olması, rehberlerin acele etmemesi, daha çok film izlenmesi ve her şeye bakma ve proje yapma imkânı verilmesi önerilerinde bulunmuştur.

Özet İngilizce

The aim of this study is how the students perceive the trip to the science centers, which are trying to transform scientific knowledge, ideas and inventions into a form that all segments of society will understand, in the science course. 28 students from eighth grade were taken by science teachers to Kayseri Science Center as part of a school trip. One month after the trip, the students were asked to fill out a question form to determine their opinions about the center. Qualitative data were analyzed by descriptive analysis method. As a conclusion, students think of the center as a place full of scientific knowledge where experiments are conducted. The Storm Chamber and the Planetarium attracted attention. Students stated that science and mathematics courses could be taught in center. Trip improves the students\' responsibility, solidarity skills and makes them happy. Trip increased the knowledge, developed ability to see new things and express ideas. It also enabled students to comprehend, reinforce and learn by having fun. The trip was beautiful and effective. Students suggested that the trip should be more comprehensive, frequent, guides should not rush, more movies should be watched and they should be given the opportunity to see everything and do their own projects.
